About Me

My photo
Style Destino is my personal style space bout cruelty-free and vegetarian style. Fashion is not above someone's life and it is irresponsible when someone makes a fashion choice that involves taking a poor animal's life. I believe in style that has a conscience. We are in 21st century where technology has advanced immensely, there are myriad options available and any person with a desire can make things happen. So it is sheer selfishness and irresponsible behaviour when people make unethical fashion choices. Through StyleDestino I share everything cruelty-free and ethical in my style. I do not use any handbags, shoes or accessories made from leather (animal skin), the make-up I use is also vegetarian and cruelty free. Luxury and compassion can coexist stylishly and Style Destino is an attempt to prove just that. Vegan fashion is not about dowdy clothes, cheap bags, or tawdry shoes. I can just easily be vegan and trot in my Olsen heels, sporting a Stella McCartney luxurious vegan handbag while showing off my red lips painted with OCC lip tar!! I travel the world around and never find dearth of stylish, high quality vegetarian fashion.

LET IT OUT

While trawling through Carter's for getting the long awaited blog shoot, landed at an event 'Art by the Sea' by Le Sutra where artists displayed their work and were also painting their creations in-person by the sea.

Inspired by the art....

On my wrist - Cartier Roadster Watch, Hermes Clic-Clac H Bracelet , Lily Cluster by Harry Winston Bracelet

Jacket by River Island, Diesel Jeans, Tee, Shoes and Bag from Zara

There are always those pieces loitering in the back of (everyone's?) wardrobe, all spruced up with butter paper wraps and uncut price tags boasting their virginity, and longing to be taken out for a ride. That's been pretty much the story of my online endeavored jacket, I ordered from River Island ages ago, and the spiky studded heels from Zara that was an impulse buy for the sheer beauty of it (just for the record, Zara has some of the most uncomfortable heels, these shoes sure look fabulous, but they are equally uncomfortable in the functionality department).

We sometimes just keep things locked up inside, waiting for that right occasion or moment to LET IT OUT (which somehow never comes) only to realise how much have we piled up and complicated it, just like our wardrobes. We buy new things but keep it locked in to realise there's so much piled up inside and unorganised just because most of it has not been out. Here are three ways to ensure that we don't stress ourselves up whether it's life or wardrobe:

1. Organize: Seek order, don't let things pile up. The more often we organize the happier life gets.

2. Try New Things: Finding new ways of having fun, thinking out of the box or finally doing what you've long been thinking off (But actually never did) is a great way to reduce tension. Similarly, trying new looks, taking out those statement pieces that we've been procrastinating to wear for the 'right occasion' even if its just for a cup of coffee.

3. Use a support system: An expensive stylist (or psychiatrist) is not necessary to resolve the troubles. Your friends, family or any other support system will help you solve problem and reduce stress. Talking it out will resolve half the problems and you never know one of them will come up with a clever idea that'll just vanish all troubles in a jiffy (or atleast be there for you so you don't have to face it all alone). So instead of piling it up, call up your friends or sister and play dress up. You'll discover a new you (all that dress up will help you style your wardrobe in a way you never thought would work for you) and get rid of the unrequired and make the maximum of what was left locked up or undiscovered.

How do you plan to LET IT OUT?
