Wearing Faeth Yellow Organic Cotton Top & Cape Blazer, Asos Denim,
Stella McCartney Bag, Faeth Choker, Vegan Bracelet
Come weekend and we all dress up in cold-shoulder sexy dresses, strappy heels, and tonnes of make-up {especially if you are partying in Dubai}. While these clichéd going-out staples are fail-proof, sometimes you need that fashion meets comfort look so you can have fun on weekend night outs without having to worry about how to sit, how much to dance (of those sexy dresses definitely restrict your moves on the dance floor) and how to save your skin from the blasting air conditioner and cold winds.
I've been averse to mommy jeans for the longest of time, especially because I always thought they'd do nothing for my height (petite girl dilemmas #101). However, I still bought a pair from Asos Green Room a few years back and was guilty of not using it - ever.
Finally, one fine day, I decided to let go of my apprehensions about them and wore it for a fashion week event and boy I was amazed that it not only looked great but was so super comfortable and stylish too.
Lowdown? A cool pair of ripped mommy jeans can do double duty for a weekend night out if you style it right. My ethical vegan wardrobe is not short of options these days. Ever since I started making conscious choices, I discovered so many amazing sustainable brands making the coolest outfits and accessories. My latest discovery is FAETH by Address Chic. Thier versatile pieces made from sustainable fabrics like banana fiber cotton, organic cotton and soy blends are just awesome.
Like this cape blazer and bright yellow top I am wearing. The cape blazer has become my favorite piece in the wardrobe lately - it just spruces up the look and the cape style gives it an edgy touch. Pairing this with a strappy pair of shoes and a glittery Stella McCartney faux-leather clutch and you're ready to rock the night.
Dubai has an amazing nightlife and there are new destinations popping up nearly everyday. One of my favorite places for a weekend night out in Dubai is JBR. This waterfront promenade aka entertainment strip has everything you need, right from al fresco dining to coffee shops, boutiques, clubs, five-star hotels and their amazing rooftop bars and lots of fancy cars and superbikes. The great thing is JBR has many vegan-friendly options too like Fruitero for awesome smoothies and popsicles, The Brass for awesome vegan coffee or the open-air Sofitel lounge for awesome views and great soy latte.
