When you get the good news that you're invited for a Bachelorette Party in Goa what happens? You get incessantly excited. You start packing the perfect bag (in your mind) to ensure the Goa getaway is gangbusters. You think of sarongs, flip flops, hats, summer shorts, sunglasses (atleast one for every day), tees, summer dresses and a maxi, of course. Until it hits you, you haven't got a maxi. A comfortable maxi is ultimate summer holiday staple that I had been looking for since ages with no avail. I ransacked nearly every store but couldn't find the right one. With the most awaited party of the year a 'Bachelorette' in Goa, I just had to find one. How could I go for a beach holiday and not have a maxi? Since I couldn't find anything in Mumbai or Delhi, I decided to try my luck online and found just the piece I was looking for at Loft , USA. I've always loved their collection and with their petite options things just got easier. I ordered this online, a

Can I just say I am OBSESSED with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC). Let me ask you first, have you been through phases? So a while ago it was the sunglasses phase, before that it was handbags and shoes phase {oh I think this one has almost become a permanent one}, then there was a longish phase of perfumes, if you go down lower on the time ladder, it was the stamp collection phase, pen phase and it can go on...... Right now its the coloured lipstick phase for me, where I have already amassed a sizeable collection of vegetarian lipsticks in all things colour, yet the hunger stays insatiated. Now the problem with all things colour in beauty is finding good vegetarian options, and in India particularly its a bigger problem. A few months ago, I discovered US based vegan beauty brand OCC and fell in love with their lip tars and colours - vibrant, happy, bright, pretty colours with choices that'll make you jump with joy. Just when I was wondering how do I buy t
When a pleasure turns into disappointment it becomes a bigger disappointment. Bodice by Ruchika Sachdeva Shirt , Diesel Jeans , Topshop Vest , Zara Shoes , Bershka Belt , DvF Tonda Clutch I'm not sure if I've mentioned that earlier, but I am not a big fan of shopping during sales (no matter what part of the world I am in). Nevertheless, I always manage to find some interesting pieces every now and then during sale period, because they're hard to ignore (it's everywhere). And now, thanks to the global economic slowdown stigma, the discounts run down in stores pretty much all round the year. Last month when I dropped by at Bombay Electric store they happened to still have some stuff on sale (though their sale period was over), and that's where I spotted this Bodice shirt. In case you're wondering, launched in 2010, Bodice is label of this Indian chic Ruchika Sachdeva who's studied fashion from London and has worked under Viviene
v This pearl necklace brought a broad smile on my face, showing off my pearly white smile, Literally!!! Not intending to buy anything, I happened to step in Swarovski showroom a week back and there it was. Beautiful pearl necklace. Again, no intention to buy but......but there {boom}..... the sales assistant happened to mention that it was on a 70 percent discount. Now what the hell am I supposed to do? Say that I wasn't really looking to buy anything, no matter how gorgeous the necklace is and what a smart buy it was? Well that would be really dumb. So I just asked her to pack and bill in right next second. I am totally drooling over it right now and just can't wait to wear it soon. Such a happy day that was!!! Photo Credit: Meghna Saraogi
I've been dying to get these Miu Miu sunglasses and finally {accidentally} found them in India. I am such a happy girl today!! While at a recent trip to Jaipur, I had this amazing vegetarian Carrot Cake at Anokhi Cafe. Amazing place, a must visit for those cotton clothes shopping and having great veg desserts and salads. Weddings, shopping, travelling and loads of work, and among all of this I've been experimenting with a lot of vegan and vegetarian salads - leafy, bean, fruit+veggies+avacado and cucumber - the list is endless. And here's my latest one - Peach & Bean Salad. I am a huge salad buff, and I ensure that everyone around me eats a good portion of it (even if I have to gulp it down their throats forcefully). I may sound a bit self-conceited here, but trust me this one turned out really well. Even those who are allergic to salad {now allergic I don't mean in the medical sense here}, loved a bite of it. Since I've been asked a recipe f
“As long as we have memories, yesterday remains. As long as we have hope, tomorrow awaits. As long as we have cupcakes, today is beautiful.” - @CupcakesQuotes (These cupcakes had a long journey and hence they aren't as spruced up yet delectable) Colourful pretty cupcakes with blobs of sweet frosting garnered attention and fancy and had been the 'it' dessert among urban Indians. But for some the cupcake mania might be dissuading thanks to their ubiquity with every next bakery selling their own versions of cupcakes. Nevertheless, they're still one of the favourite items to satisfy my sweet craving. Ever since Natali of cakeitaway stopped baking her vegetarian and vegan cupcakes (remember reading Yummy Suff....... Best Cupcakes in Town ?), my craving for them only aggravated and the hunt for the vegetarian (only) place for cupcakes began. The determination and perseverance to quench the cupcake thirst {literally} finally lead me to the vegan home bakery G
While trawling through Carter's for getting the long awaited blog shoot, landed at an event 'Art by the Sea' by Le Sutra where artists displayed their work and were also painting their creations in-person by the sea. Inspired by the art.... On my wrist - Cartier Roadster Watch, Hermes Clic-Clac H Bracelet , Lily Cluster by Harry Winston Bracelet Jacket by River Island , Diesel Jeans , Tee, Shoes and Bag from Zara There are always those pieces loitering in the back of (everyone's?) wardrobe, all spruced up with butter paper wraps and uncut price tags boasting their virginity, and longing to be taken out for a ride. That's been pretty much the story of my online endeavored jacket, I ordered from River Island ages ago, and the spiky studded heels from Zara that was an impulse buy for the sheer beauty of it (just for the record, Zara has some of the most uncomfortable heels, these shoes sure look fabulous, but they are equ
