Fitness is such a big part of my life that I just get paranoid when I don't get time to exercise. Last few months have been really crazy with travelling and long hours at work that I had skipped my workout for weeks. Unfortunately I can feel some of my clothes actually not fitting me right. But that's all changing up as I am starting my workout routine and loving every minute of it. Since I don't get time to go out to gym, other than running sometimes, here are my few favourite workout videos that I have been following since a few years now to keep me in shape. Trust me if you follow these, your are for sure going to get heads turned with your fabulous toned body. FULL WORKOUT When I want to focus on complete body, I love to follow this video. It take care of everything from head to toe and the exercises are so simple to follow. This is my favourite among all. LOWER BODY WORKOUT Butt Workout One So of course my workout routine involves focusing on lower body
Lately my workout has been quietly crawling into the pending to-dos list, but to make up for that I am trying my best to eat well. Salads have become my go to meal for the evenings. And seriously making a delicious bowl of salad isn't a hard task. Just some good ingredients, little bit of imagination and you can toss a great concoction. In my latest experiments I tried some assorted lettuce with strawberries as the main note and it turned out really well. Ingredients/Recipe (Serves 2) - 6 leaves of iceberg lettuce - 6 leaves of Romaine lettuce - 3-4 strawberries diced - 1 small zucchini diced - half apple diced - 3/4 yellow bell pepper diced - 2 walnuts (small pieces) For Seasoning - fresh cracked pepper, to taste - dried Italian herbs (thyme, rosemary, oregano) - 1/4 cup orange juice - flax seeds or chia seeds - extra virgin olive oil or flax seed oil In a large bowl add all the ingredients and gently toss. Finish off with a drizzle of olive oil, and some
Source Glitzy shopping malls, sky-high building, designer boutiques, huge high street stores - that was the only side of Singapore I knew until December'13. In my so many visits to the city, I frittered away so many listless hours at the sprawling shopping malls rummaging through the same old same old stores I rummage through in every part of the world. Topped to that, the endless miles you have to walk to reach from one side of the mall to the other (even in the pre-ION days) takes so much time in Spore that you can barely manage to go anyplace else. No kidding (I can always feel my calves toned up from all that walking I do in the few days I spend in Singapore). But {saturatingly-}tired of visiting the same malls and same stores in every part of the world, this time around I decided to explore the other side of Singapore. Ah, and I'm so glad I moved beyond Orchard as it led me to the discovery of the epicenter of quirky Singapore - the famous Haji Lane. Tucked in t
I can't be the only one under impression that it's still 2013. How cum the New Year started again? Didn't we step into 2013 just, like, a few days back? In fact not just 2013, the fast forward movement of life in itself is stupefying, and a little bit unsatisfying. Time flies too fast. This makes me realise how important it is to set the priorities in life and ignore or trash out the clutter and trivialities. Working on it. Right now, to the point - what was the year gone by and what would 2014 bring? 2013 Collage, an year went in iPhone pictures and Instagramming. Packing, unpacking and organising. 2014 will bring in more efforts - go beyond the iPhone camera, must use all items unused tagged or untagged, and follow dreams no matter how unsure they sound - make it work is the mantra. Happy New Year!!
So excited about this post. My interview with Baggout from their "Interviews with Style Divas" series is live on their blog. Sneak a Peak from the Interview: Today, we welcome SJ to Baggout’s series on “Interviews with Style Divas”. She is a wealth manager by the day and an ethical fashion blogger by the night. Five wardrobe essentials you cannot live without. SJ - A pair of great fitting jeans (love those from Rag&Bone), a signature pair of sunglasses, a pair of comfy heels – its either chic wedges or sling backs, a perfectly tailored blazer since it has the power to give polish to the simplest of outfit like a pair of jeans and tee and a great watch {Michael Kors oversized rose gold is currently donning my wrist). If you could peak into someone’s wardrobe, whose wardrobe would it be and Why? SJ - Olivia Palermo has an incredibly covetable wardrobe. I love her feminine chic style and her unmatchable instinct of mixing things up. Whether it is artfully wearin
These beauties from Colin Stuart are stunner {and they're vegetarian}; I ordered them online from Victoria's Secret website sometime ago and finally walked in them last Sunday. While I was admiring these, it got me thinking what is with women and their love for shoes. Shoes have been an important part of life for most women, so much so that I was gobsmacked when I read about a divorce case where this hedge fund manager in US, Daniel Shark, sued his ex-wife Beth for getting a 35 per cent share of her $1 million collection of footwear. Really? Suing his wife for shoes? And what is remarkable is Beth's serious love for shoes, not only she has a jaw-dropping collection, but the fact that she also tattooed an image of a Christian Louboutin stiletto on her body reiterates the depth of the relationship. That's the extent of obsession women have over shoes. So why women love shoes? One argument {I'd say from those who little know women} would be that it is not r
Zen Cafe Mumbai: cafe space that is center of creativity & urban respite Veggie Roll Tomato Panini Latte Among the many things that I did while on this hiatus was finally visiting the {relatively} new vegetarian cafe doubled as a restaurant aka Zen Cafe. Now its an irony when you're unable to visit a place that's just two blocks away from your regular weekend hangout for five full months. Never mind. On a Saturday, after visiting Address Home at Raghuvanshi Mills (love this place for their Home Decor) for revving up my room with bright cushions and delirious with hunger I finally decided to visit Zen Cafe for an early dinner. Located at the mezzanine level of a furniture store, the cafe is surprisingly spacious (one thing that is pure luxury in Mumbai is space and it's always a delight to visit a place like this) with chic accents (beige comfi sofas). Just as the name suggests, Zen Cafe is not the kind of place to go with a rowdy crowd, o
Style is a reflection of how you feel, the mood mirrors the outfit. I'm totally in the festive mood so it's no surprise I've been rummaging my wardrobe for some bling and was glad to find something {from my sister's wardrobe}. Forever 21 Top , Zara Skirt , DvF Handbag , Steve Madden Shoes The last few months I've really been focusing on simple and more relaxed outfits, and my busy schedule (forthcoming wedding of my darling sis, yahoooo!!) and growing love for classic pieces have been key reasons. I've always valued simplicity, nevertheless every once in a while, when I am in one of those vibrant moods, I'd try something different and experiment a little. Earlier I was mainly stuck with neutral colour palette dominated by black but now I have eventually started to experiment with different colours and styles. With the progress of the blog (and my age which is on the wrong side of 20), my style has evolved, and
