Zara skirt and shoes , Marccain tank and Stella McCartney Falabella bag Its past midnight and my brain fog is becoming a hindrance in letting me write anything cleverer. But all I know is I am in the mood of brights and my piece of self-practised wisdom that always cheers me up in every situation is the choice I always have and that I can always exercise - staying in the bright side of things. It reminds me of the beautiful words of Anne Frank - "Think of all the beauty around you and be happy". Waking up to another day of light and sunshine, having yourself to you, being able to make the choice of being happy - happiness is within you. Allow today to be a reminder of what's truly beautiful and let go of anything that troubles you. --------- As I was rummaging through my wardrobe, this summery tank caught my attention, and it seemed it was in a desperate need of colours. I searched every corner of my closet and pulled this cheery pink skirt an
Procrastinating lapsed deadlines, piling up the work and leaving this post unfinished since past one week while I've been dying to get it live soon as it was being difficult to contain the bubbling excitement to share Style Destino's newest stint. Here I am finally sharing it with you in words and pictures. Style Destino (aka me) curated and co-organised "Address Style - Trunk Show" last week featuring 26 finest Indian designers including Cue by Rohit Gandhi Rahul Khanna, Suket Dhir, Lacquer Embassy, House of Chic, Ritika Bharwani, Debashri Samanta, MA Earth Botanicals, Quirk Box and more, in the womenswear, menswear, accessories and beauty categories. This invitation only event was one of its kind that the city of Indore ever witnessed and it was a fantabulous experience. From getting the designers on board (biggies like Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna and many LFW and Wills Lifestyle designers), to selecting outfits with the designers for the show, getting
What you wear at work has a major impact at your success. Looking stylish yet work-appropriate can be tricky considering there's a very thin line between appropriate and stylish when it comes to formal wear. While you obviously want to be dressed in a formal attire at your office, you still want to experiment and look stylish. Here I have rounded up six tricks you could use to take your work ensembles from boring to stylish without stepping out of the workwear boundaries. Are you ready to be the best dressed at office? Tip 1 - Liven up your basic 9-5 wear with some prints. How we get bored of the solid coloured or striped shirts at office and yet pick the same style over and over again? It's time you swapped your regular shirts with some prints that'll make an impact yet be subtle. For this summer, I went for some pastels using the monochrome route for my officewear by pairing a printed shirt with similar hued pencil skirt in solid. Tip 2 - Inject colour i
"Happiness is my intrinsic nature". But why do we still wait for something to happen to be happy? I'm here right now, so why wait for anything else? Stop waiting around for a holiday, for the perfect guy {or girl} to fall in love with you, for landing your dream job, for buying that handbag you've been longing for. Happiness is not dependent on anything, it's inside you. Happiness is you and there's so much beauty around already that you don't need to wait around for anything else to be happy. Right now is the right moment, make the most of it. Picture Story - Two NEW-S: new manicure @Fingertips and new necklace I picked from Hill Road street shopping, Mumbai - Taj Mahal I clicked from last summer visit to Agra. Finally I visited the Taj, everytime I'd converse someone on one of my offshore holidays I'd be embarrassed to confess I haven't yet visited Agra. No more. - Beautiful Narmada river I clicked from a recent trip to the amazing
Sheath Dress old, Stella McCartney Falabella Bag , Charles & Keith Peep Toe Shoes , Hermes Cuff , Cartier Watch , Miu Miu Sunglasses A classic sheath with a great fit is a long term love and that's precisely my story with this dress. Whenever I fail to find the right outfit when rummaging through my wardrobe and I want to look my best, I trust this sheath dress. With its amazing fit, a very classic style and side triangle detailing - its my favourite. I paired it with my camel peep-toes, clasic black Stella McCartney Falabella vegan handbag and to add some glam to the look I stacked my wrist with some of my favourite gold and diamond bracelets. C’est trés chic , non? Hope you had a great weekend, I'm pumped up for this week. Image Credit: Sejal Purohit
Are you vegan? Yes your diet is, but what about what's in your beauty closet? Knowingly or unknowingly most vegan and even vegetarian women although follow a vegetarian diet but forget all those ingredients used in their beauty and skincare products that are derived from killing animals or causing them torture. Being a vegan means not only eating vegan food but also using products that are cruelty-free and made without any animal ingredients or derivatives. While many beauty companies smugly call themselves “cruelty-free,” this just means they don't test on animals. But it does not mean all of them are vegetarian and vegan. Most of these companies use ingredients like beeswax and fish enzymes, carmine (red pigment derived from boiling insects), bone char, albumen (derived from egg whites) and other stuff derived from animals. Its shocking and downright cruel! Until a few years ago even I wasn't aware that these companies use so many non-vegan ingredients in the cosme
Crop Top and Sporty Trousers : Zara, Blazer : Marccain, Lepoard pumps : Lipsy, Bag : Stella McCartney Every place, every city and every town has treasures of their own. I was in Indore last month and with some time in hand, decided to get some pictures shot. A friend recommended an early morning visit to Chhatri Bagh for its beautiful architecture. Excitement caught hold of me and I woke up at 6am (yes I did). Didn't know what to wear to visit the Chhatri Bagh so I decided to put together an outfit from my latest shopping picks - the sports-inspired trend that seems to envelope the summer fashion landscape. A sporty crop top with a pair of trousers that's a cross between track pants and formal trousers seemed completely season-appropriate. Layering is a great way to minimize the risque nature of the crop top and make it place-appropriate, functioning as a complement to a conservative look rather than drawing all the wrong attention. So I popped on a white blazer and
