Sheath Dress old, Stella McCartney Falabella Bag , Charles & Keith Peep Toe Shoes , Hermes Cuff , Cartier Watch , Miu Miu Sunglasses A classic sheath with a great fit is a long term love and that's precisely my story with this dress. Whenever I fail to find the right outfit when rummaging through my wardrobe and I want to look my best, I trust this sheath dress. With its amazing fit, a very classic style and side triangle detailing - its my favourite. I paired it with my camel peep-toes, clasic black Stella McCartney Falabella vegan handbag and to add some glam to the look I stacked my wrist with some of my favourite gold and diamond bracelets. C’est trés chic , non? Hope you had a great weekend, I'm pumped up for this week. Image Credit: Sejal Purohit
Are you vegan? Yes your diet is, but what about what's in your beauty closet? Knowingly or unknowingly most vegan and even vegetarian women although follow a vegetarian diet but forget all those ingredients used in their beauty and skincare products that are derived from killing animals or causing them torture. Being a vegan means not only eating vegan food but also using products that are cruelty-free and made without any animal ingredients or derivatives. While many beauty companies smugly call themselves “cruelty-free,” this just means they don't test on animals. But it does not mean all of them are vegetarian and vegan. Most of these companies use ingredients like beeswax and fish enzymes, carmine (red pigment derived from boiling insects), bone char, albumen (derived from egg whites) and other stuff derived from animals. Its shocking and downright cruel! Until a few years ago even I wasn't aware that these companies use so many non-vegan ingredients in the cosme
Crop Top and Sporty Trousers : Zara, Blazer : Marccain, Lepoard pumps : Lipsy, Bag : Stella McCartney Every place, every city and every town has treasures of their own. I was in Indore last month and with some time in hand, decided to get some pictures shot. A friend recommended an early morning visit to Chhatri Bagh for its beautiful architecture. Excitement caught hold of me and I woke up at 6am (yes I did). Didn't know what to wear to visit the Chhatri Bagh so I decided to put together an outfit from my latest shopping picks - the sports-inspired trend that seems to envelope the summer fashion landscape. A sporty crop top with a pair of trousers that's a cross between track pants and formal trousers seemed completely season-appropriate. Layering is a great way to minimize the risque nature of the crop top and make it place-appropriate, functioning as a complement to a conservative look rather than drawing all the wrong attention. So I popped on a white blazer and

Marccain jacket , Diesel tee and jeans , Zara shoes We've been languishing in 2014 for over 3 months now (hey its April) and I have been experiencing strong hankering to get off all the to-dos from my list and start a fresh one. And voila, the beginning has been made. This post has been sitting in my drafts since the end of December and I am finally changing its status. So this December {three months back} we headed for a short trip to Igatpuri and it was one of those moments when you're travelling by the countryside and spot a cool location where you'd know you'll get a great shot. This hut was my cool discovery en route from Igatpuri to back to Mumbai when I nearly jumped out of the window to get some pictures. Somehow strutting down the kachha roads in those heels gave me a high. I may sound a bit of a brat here but when it comes to travel choices, the small hill stations and the quieter places fail to pleasure me after a certain number of hour
For some reason I've been obsessed with deep purple and oxblood and ever since Stella started doing her Falabella bags in this hue (its been a hell lot of months) I've had my eyes on them. And this January when I saw someone carrying the exact same coloured Falabella (shoulder bag) at Bunglow 8, I just knew it is definitely going to land in my closet, sooner or later. I'm kind of sort of head over heels in love with this perfect plum bag. Surprisingly this colour with its gold hardware complements a hell lot of outfits and this bag certainly makes the perfect addition to my closet. And why not, when luxury blends with vegetarianism, it automatically translates to guilt-free shopping.
Zara Crop Top, Asos Midi Skirt, Stella McCartney Grace Bag & Steve Madden Shoes It doesn't matter how hard you work in the gym, if you don't control what you put on your plate. Unfortunately, I've been off track on my workout routine for quite sometime. And with Spring already making its way, its hard to resist wearing the crop tops and midi skirt - now isn't that an irony. So when the excitement of Spring-coming takes away your sanity and you incessantly start accumulating clothes that's not right for your body shape, what do you do? Start with the basics - clean eating. Situation - busy days, no time to workout, need to get back in shape Those days when you've been super busy and don't get enough time to workout and you're stressed, and you just need to eat something that tastes good at the same time that'll keep you away from putting on all those extra kilos? That's what this Avocado rice and avocado soup is about - delic
Spring is right here and before you get your wardrobe spring/summer ready here's a peek to what the Indian designers brought on tables - direct from the runways of the recently wrapped Lakme Fashion Week Summer and Resort 2014. Summer clothes bring life to the wardrobe and allows you to experiment with colours, fabrics, drapes, layering. And I love resort wear. Originally resort was the clothes that you'll wear when hopping on a cruise and going off to travel. But now resort has evolved into this collection of seasonless clothes that are a huge help in a transition period (when you don't know whether its winter, spring or fall). When in doubt - pick up from your resort wear. What were the key trends at the fashion week? Peplum blouses and jackets in Indian wear, soft pastels, thread embroidery, sheers (tops, jackets, skirts, half and half), embellishments, complex layering, double breasted jackets and asymmetrical hemlines were aplenty at the runways of Lakme Fashion We
Fitness is such a big part of my life that I just get paranoid when I don't get time to exercise. Last few months have been really crazy with travelling and long hours at work that I had skipped my workout for weeks. Unfortunately I can feel some of my clothes actually not fitting me right. But that's all changing up as I am starting my workout routine and loving every minute of it. Since I don't get time to go out to gym, other than running sometimes, here are my few favourite workout videos that I have been following since a few years now to keep me in shape. Trust me if you follow these, your are for sure going to get heads turned with your fabulous toned body. FULL WORKOUT When I want to focus on complete body, I love to follow this video. It take care of everything from head to toe and the exercises are so simple to follow. This is my favourite among all. LOWER BODY WORKOUT Butt Workout One So of course my workout routine involves focusing on lower body
Lately my workout has been quietly crawling into the pending to-dos list, but to make up for that I am trying my best to eat well. Salads have become my go to meal for the evenings. And seriously making a delicious bowl of salad isn't a hard task. Just some good ingredients, little bit of imagination and you can toss a great concoction. In my latest experiments I tried some assorted lettuce with strawberries as the main note and it turned out really well. Ingredients/Recipe (Serves 2) - 6 leaves of iceberg lettuce - 6 leaves of Romaine lettuce - 3-4 strawberries diced - 1 small zucchini diced - half apple diced - 3/4 yellow bell pepper diced - 2 walnuts (small pieces) For Seasoning - fresh cracked pepper, to taste - dried Italian herbs (thyme, rosemary, oregano) - 1/4 cup orange juice - flax seeds or chia seeds - extra virgin olive oil or flax seed oil In a large bowl add all the ingredients and gently toss. Finish off with a drizzle of olive oil, and some
Source Glitzy shopping malls, sky-high building, designer boutiques, huge high street stores - that was the only side of Singapore I knew until December'13. In my so many visits to the city, I frittered away so many listless hours at the sprawling shopping malls rummaging through the same old same old stores I rummage through in every part of the world. Topped to that, the endless miles you have to walk to reach from one side of the mall to the other (even in the pre-ION days) takes so much time in Spore that you can barely manage to go anyplace else. No kidding (I can always feel my calves toned up from all that walking I do in the few days I spend in Singapore). But {saturatingly-}tired of visiting the same malls and same stores in every part of the world, this time around I decided to explore the other side of Singapore. Ah, and I'm so glad I moved beyond Orchard as it led me to the discovery of the epicenter of quirky Singapore - the famous Haji Lane. Tucked in t
I can't be the only one under impression that it's still 2013. How cum the New Year started again? Didn't we step into 2013 just, like, a few days back? In fact not just 2013, the fast forward movement of life in itself is stupefying, and a little bit unsatisfying. Time flies too fast. This makes me realise how important it is to set the priorities in life and ignore or trash out the clutter and trivialities. Working on it. Right now, to the point - what was the year gone by and what would 2014 bring? 2013 Collage, an year went in iPhone pictures and Instagramming. Packing, unpacking and organising. 2014 will bring in more efforts - go beyond the iPhone camera, must use all items unused tagged or untagged, and follow dreams no matter how unsure they sound - make it work is the mantra. Happy New Year!!
