Angela and Roi Vegan Handbag Mango Jacket , Banana Republic Peplum Top , Diesel Jeans , Angela & Roi Bag , Dune Shoes , ASOS Belt , Miu Miu Sunglasses It's always a goof time to make some positive changes in life and point out the ethical issues pertinent to the fashion industry - starting with the one that perturbs me the most - "stereotyping cruelty as luxury", which the fashionistas are stung with paying no heed to the excruciating pain and slaughter a poor life is inflicted to in the name of style and fashion. Just in case you're in the minuscule minority who doesn't know, I'm not the slave of fashion and certainly don't believe that style is above life of a helpless animal. As a staunch believer of cruelty-free fashion and to prove that vegan and ethical fashion is equally stylish, I am always on the hunt for all things stylish that are rightfully labelled 'vegan' and everything on this blog strictly adheres
Beauty is in simplicity, minimalism, attention to detail and quality. Simple yet intricate, bold and playful - this is how Payal Khandwala's designs are. I resonate Khandwala's clothes with women who are bold, give thought to what they wear, appreciate quality but are not obsessed with fashion because there are many other things to do - like conquering the world! Enter her beautiful store in Colaba, and you will be met with rainbow colors neatly displayed on racks against a classy and clean decor featuring black walls accentuated with gold detailing. Clothing that speaks minimalism with complicated yet simple silhouettes - most of which not for the faint-hearted. I have always loved Khandwala's beautiful collection of desconstructed creative silhouettes where she unites old and new - traditional fabrics in modern minimalist cuts. By using bright and basic bold hues in most of her pieces, instead of prints, Khandwala lets her silhouettes be the center of attention, whic

With Fall around the corner, every fashion girl needs a few season's must-have pieces in her arsenal. If you are living in Dubai or just visiting you're in for a treat as it is no surprise that Dubai is the mecca of the fashion world with world's largest shopping malls and nearly every designer and brand from every nook and cranny of the world available in the city. This means its easy to get lost considering you have thousands of shops, hundreds of malls and one mall that gives every mall in the world a run for their money - The Dubai Mall compromising 5.9 million square feet area {and >1200 stores, an aquarium, ice skating rink and even an indoor
I am legitimately living in a suitcase since past 9 months. Mumbai, Dubai, Delhi, Scandinavia, Croatia, Milan, Dubai and back! Since I've been going to Dubai a lot lately recently, during these trips I discovered so many interesting new places in Dubai, met such amazing people from around the world and explored some really great places to eat {vegan}. While no place can beat my favorite shopping destination London, Dubai is also a heaven for shoppers with the mother of all malls "The Dubai Mall" and other many other unexplored places to shop. Banana Republic Skirt, My own designed Crop Top, Stella McCartney Bag, Steve Madden Heels, & other stories ring, Topshop necklace, Gold Bracelets Designed By Me By far I can unwaveringly say that Dubai Marina is my favorite place in the city. Of course it's near the sea but other than the view {that's so calming at any time of the day} this place offers so much more. Chil
Here I am talking about summer bags (from Fastrack) and you are wondering, summer is long gone. But my oh my, does summer ever end? (at least it never does in Mumbai) Now even if you're not a big timer TV viewer, you couldn't have possibly missed the uber-cool Fastrack TV advertisement (featuring their summer handbag), where you spot this young hot college gal waking to an alarm in boy's hostel, hurriedly grabbing her stripey bag and getting dressed en route while crossing the lawns and jumping through the wall. The ad ends with: ‘Wanna move on? Blame Fastrack’. I absolutely loved it and its fab music (btw if you're wondering the Fastrack ad is playing the no. Short Skirt Long Jacket by Cake). Young, fun and carefree the summer bags ad of Fastrack definitely hits a chord with the young generation, and it even tickled my inquisitive bone to check out how these bags are after all. They sure looked interesting on screen. And finally, the two bags from their collect
Despite the most unexpected pouring in the dessert and the inconvenient location (yes reaching Design District was really a task) the enthusiasm of the Fashion Week took the winning among the Dubai fashionistas as they showed up at the Dubai Design District braving the rains strutting in their stilettos, showing off their meticulously contoured face and layers of waterproof mascara. Nothing could stop the middle eastern divas from their most anticipated event - Fashion Forward Dubai! It wasn't just the catwalks, but this season had some really interesting talks too - one particularly close to my heart {and also what my blog is about} ethical fashion. It was the first time I actually heard the term "Ethical fashion" echoed in the fashion circles of Dubai, as there aren't many brands here and those which are, are also not really marketed as "Ethical" (did you know Stella Jean is ethical?). On day 2 of the fashion forward the rain Gods decided to bless the
Zara Jacket & Boots, Topshop Jeans and Stella McCartney Bag Sometimes finding the right 'outfit' to wear becomes challenging. Nearly every girl has to face the situation of having a closet full of clothes yet nothing to wear. Fret not, when you can't find anything to wear follow the motto - "when it doubt wear a jacket" - it can be a sharp blazer, a moto jacket or a bomber. Jackets are life savers - not only it puts together an outfit but they also glam it up instantly. When you add a sharp blazer to a simple white tee and blue jeans combo and throw in a pair of pumps you are all set to take over the world in style in an instant. When you want something cool a moto or a Bomber does the trick. I for one love my jackets, this is one thing I never skimp on. While my black and white blazers are my go-to all time-favourites, but I also love other styles like this moto jacket with a twist. What is your go-to piece in your closet?
" To be different you must first be yourself " How many times did you scroll down your Instagram feed to find the same Moschino* belt, same Celine* bag, same trendy shoes, same Kenzo* jumper, same contoured face popping up on every blogger's feed? It will not be an exaggeration if I say that they are all starting to look the same. Or let's put it this way most bloggers seem clones of each other. Such an irony. But where has their individual style disappeared? Why are the fashion bloggers falling prey to mediocrity? Why does everyone in the fashion blogosphere need to dress alike? Back in early blogging days fashion bloggers had some real style - fun, accessible, classy, quirky, weird glam, street chic, feminine burst - everyone had something new to bring on table. Each blogger had a distinct voice and blogging involved doing your own thing. Fast forward 2016 and today everyone is trying to fit in the cool crowd wearing the same trends that everyone else is s
Stradivarius Fringe Jacket, Zara Culottes, Stella McCartney Bag, Charles and Keith Heels Initially skeptic about fringe, I finally got a fringe jacket and I'm so glad I did. It adds a refreshing element of surprise to the look and the flippery flappery thing can be fun when it moves on walking. Pairing it with an all-black look that includes lace, culottes and caged heels, makes it such a easy breezy day-to-night look. I parired it my Stella McCartney Cavendish Tote. I have to say, among all Stella McCartney bags I have, including most falabella styles, this tote is my absolute favorite. I can easily stow all my essentials, its not too big or small and also not heavy like the Falabellas. Absolutely in love! No matter how many shoes we have in your wardrobe, more often than not we pick shoes depending on the current crush of the moment, and somehow we think those crush goes with everything we wear. For example these vegan heels that I recently bought somehow
Wish you all a wonderful 2016! This new year I started with no resolutions, because every day will be an effort to become a better me.... New projects, travel plans around the corner and a wonderful weather in Dubai is how the 2016 commenced for me. Experiencing Dubai winter for the first time and its amazing. Not too cold, not the usual hot. Best part? You can finally wear your coats and boots! Banana Republic LBD , Mango Trench Coat , Zara Heels and Stella McCartney Bag I've been obsessed with trench coats, and unfortunately the classic Burberry trench comes with leather detailing in the belt. So the search for the right trench that fits my petite frame perfectly had been on since forever. Fortunately I found this Mango trench recently and have been wearing it nearly everywhere. It's the best way to pull off any look and even turn drab to fab. Until I find the vegan Burberry style, this one gets my thumbs up. Wear it with everything from dresses
